A feature request is a feature a user would like to see in a product. It's up to the creators of the product to sort through these requests and decide which ones to implement.
Summary
Most creators these days will typically release the most basic form of their product known as an MVP [→]. This solves the immediate problem the product seeks to address.
Once users get their hands on the product, it becomes clear to them which other features they would like this product to have.
The creators can then slowly roll out these features over time.
